Ridge Math Zone
New York State, along with 44 other states and 3 territories, have adopted the Common Core State Standards for Mathematics. The Common Core Standards are built on six shifts, including focusing the curriculum on lesson topics and delving into each of these topics more deeply. 2013 was the first year that the New York State Mathematics Test assessed Common Core Standards. Ridge teachers and administrators have worked hard to align our teaching to the Common Core Standards and to prepare students for the transition in learning and assessment. As a district, we have selected the Houghton Mifflin Harcourt program called Go Math.
