Board of Education Appoints New MemberOn Thursday, December 7, Victoria Molloy was unanimously appointed to the Longwood Board of Education for a term of office from December 7, 2017 – May 15, 2018.  Mrs. Molloy replaces Board member Philip Reany, Jr. who recently passed away.  

After consideration of numerous candidates, the Board of Education appointed Mrs. Molloy to fill the current vacancy.  Mrs. Molloy is a Longwood alumna, with two children in the District who are in the sixth- and ninth-grades. Mrs. Molloy currently serves as a legislative aide to Fourth District Councilman Michael Loguercio.  

“Mrs. Molloy is an excellent addition to the Longwood Board of Education,” said President Frank Muraca.  “Her passion and dedication to education, as well as for our students were very evident in the interview process. Additionally, her experience combined with her understanding of the culture of our school district will be a tremendous asset to the Board.”  

Mrs. Molloy has served on numerous Board Committees, as well as serving on the PTA Council and the Shared Decision Making Team.  

“As a lifelong resident, graduate, parent, and volunteer in Longwood, it is a privilege for me to serve in this capacity, in the community where I work and live,” said Mrs. Molloy. “I look forward to working hard for our school and community in the months ahead.”
